For a few days this week, the residents of Esbon were asked to boil their water before drinking it. On Tuesday, the state health department lifted the boil water advisory.

It was issued after a water main break caused a drop in pressure. The break was repaired and water samples tested. Those samples indicated no evidence of bacteriological contamination.
