Greg Shamburg lost 70 acres of wheat to a fire July 5 south of Randall. The header for the combine was also a loss. However, they were able to move the combine and save it. The fire occurred on his sister’s land and the cause of the fire wasn’t identified. 

Both the Randall Volunteer Fire Department and the Mitchell County Rural Fire Department were involved in fighting the fire.
