Love My Crazy Life

I can’t believe we are at the end of July already. Where has the summer gone? Oh wait, I know, I’ve spent it running around like a chicken with its head cut off. This past week Jacob went back to Dad’s for another short visit. One tank of gas. We picked up the Omaha boys for a visit. Another tank of gas. We took the Omaha boys back to Omaha. You guessed it, Another tank of gas. The price of fuel right now burns my tail feathers. We shall not speak any more on that topic; I don’t want to be in a crummy mood all day.

The money pit has taken up much of my summer, but I don’t mind. I like the work, even though my body is sore most of the time. I feel better now that I am more active, at least mentally! It sounds crazy, but it’s been a good bonding for our family. There is no outside interference like the internet, TV, video games, and our friends and family want nothing to do with us when we are down there. I can’t say I blame them. We would try putting them to work! LOL! We have found many interesting things in the renovation. My favorite being the packing peanuts we found inside of one of the outside walls. George is still hoping for a jar of money, but I doubt we find anything that interesting.

I managed to stay out of trouble this week, so I don’t have much to say. The only major dingbat thing I did was to get my fingers stuck between a 2x2 and the wall. Luckily, I had the prybar handy and all my fingers are still intact. Thankfully, no one was around to see it. It could have been much worse; George and Jacob could still be teasing me about it. X’s & O’s.
