Sunday evening saw "Meal and Movie with the Mayor"in (where else?) Maag Park in Jewell. A fun event on a marvelous evening had a crowd munching on a meal of hotdogs and chips hosted by Jewell'smayor Darrell Bohnert and his wifeDeb Moyer Bohnert.
To go along with the "drive-in movie," area youngsters made cardboard motor vehicles. There were cars, Gators, tractors and fire trucks to "drive" to the movie.
The Moyer family from Salina provided the popcorn for the movie goers. There was also ice cream! Jewell's Ministerial Union served up several flavors. It was a great way to enjoy the mighty few days left before the 2021-2022 school year makes its appearance.
