COVID-19 cases increase in region

August 12, 2021

Cases of the COVID-19 delta variant have started to increase in the South Heartland District Health Department region. As schools begin to open and activities start in the area, Brodstone Memorial Hospital continues to urge residents to take precautions to help avoid an additional outbreak of COVID-19 in our area.

The COVID-19 vaccine is the most effective tool available to slow the spread of the virus. Brodstone has an ample supply of vaccines available for those ages 12 and older. If you would like to schedule your COVID vaccination, please call the Brodstone COVID hotline at 402-207-1083 and leave a message. A member of the Brodstone team will call you back to schedule your appointment.

For the safety of the staff and patients within the facility, Brodstone continues to have COVID-19 policies and procedures in place. The current visitor policy limits each patient to two visitors. Patients and visitors will continue to be screened upon entry and will be required to wear a mask while in the facility.

“We encourage the community members to get the vaccine to help reduce the risk of becoming ill with this new strain of COVID-19. By working together and getting vaccinated, we can help reduce the rate of transmission among individuals and the risk of severe illness. We stand ready to help our communities through this new variant,” said Treg Vyzourek, BMH CEO

Brodstone will continue to communicate information on COVID-19 as it becomes available.
