The Jewell City Council met in regular session Monday, Aug. 2, at City Hall. Those in attendance were Mayor Darrell Bohnert; council members, Max Burks, Josh Burks, Bob Freeman, Gaye Daniels, Derek Birdsell and Kristie Anderson, city clerk.

Don Jacobs, Jewell County sheriff, talked with the council about the dog problems in town. Shelby Bohnert, Jewell County Land Bank, was present to discuss about the meeting she attended for the Jewell County Land Bank and went into depth on how this could benefit the City of Jewell.
