Lenora Frank

Lenora I. (Bruns) Frank, 92, was born Jan. 21, 1929, to John and Anna (Peters) Bruns on a farm near Hardy. She died Aug. 4,at the Homestead House in Beatrice.

Lenora grew up in Deshler where she attended elementary school and graduated from Deshler High School in 1947. In her younger years, she worked at the Deshler Broom Factory, and after graduation worked at the Christensen’s Rexall Drug Store in Hebron for five plus years.

She was married to Robert A. Frank on April 25, 1952, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. Bob and Lenora were residents of Carleton, and members of Zion Lutheran Church in Carleton. To this union were born two children, Linda Sue and James Alan.

Lenora enjoyed gardening, golfing, traveling and time with her family. She and Bob traveled to every state in the

entire United States. She also enjoyed collections; her Fenton cardinal collection and her 1920’s flapper beads collection were two of her favorites.

Reaching retirement age, Lenora and Bob, moved to the Villa at Flowing Springs in Beatrice.

Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Bruns; her

husband, Robert Frank; grandson, Christopher Sattler; sister, Lorene Buntemeyer; brothers, Lester, Raymond, Ervin, Vernon and Elmer Bruns.

Lenora is survived by her daughter, Linda Sattler; and son, James Frank.
