Lenore Weber

Lenore G. Weber, 79, was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Holdrege to Alfred and Grace Nelson. She died Tuesday Aug. 3, at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings.

Lenore grew up on the family farm north of Holdrege. She attended

rural country schools and graduated in 1960 from Holdrege High School. Lenore went on to nursing school at Kearney and graduated in 1966. Lenore married James Weber on March 28, 1970. They resided in North Dakota for a bit before coming back to Nebraska.

Their son, Eric was born in 1972, and son Timothy was born in 1974. Lenore worked in the healthcare industry most of her adult life.

Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, long stitch sewing and crocheting blankets for all the graduating nieces, nephews, grandchildren and neighborhood friends. She also enjoyed helping out at church and in the county 4-H programs and FFA.

Preceding her in death were her parents Alfred and Grace Nelson; infant son, Timothy; and brothers, George and Wayne Nelson.


Survivors are her husband, James Weber,Guide Rock; and son, Eric of Oak Lawn, Ill.

Her funeral was held Aug. 7, at Grace Community E-Free Church, Superior, with Pastor David Johnson

officiating. Burial was in the Moses Hill Cemetery, near Holdrege.
