Phil Laverne Hansen, 83, died Friday, at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud. He was born Nov. 7, 1937, to Ted and Maude (Duval) Hansen at the family home in rural Webster County. He was the second born to a set of twins and the youngest of five.

Phil was active in 4-H, showing calves at the county fair that were raised on his dad’s farm. He was involved in the junior and senior plays,football and learned to play the cornet in 5th grade.
