Rodeo action returns this weekend to the Nuckolls County Fairgrounds located south of Nelson. Instead of the professional rodeo associated with the annual county, this time the fair board will be hosting Nebraska High School rodeo action on Saturday and Sunday

The Nelson location is one of nine on the circuit this year. Earlier rodeos were held at Bassett, Lexington, Bloomfield and O’Neill. On the schedule after Nelson at rodeos at Broken Bow, Callaway and North Platte. From Nelson the contestants usually go on to the state fair at Grand Island.
