SHS volleyball opens season with loss

The Superior High School volleyball team fell to the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders in three sets, 17-25, 16-25 and 25-27, in their season opener at Superior, Thursday.

The Crusaders are a Class C-1 school while the Wildcats are in Class C-2.

The match marked the debut of Randall Loch as head coach of the Wildcats.

By the time the Wildcats picked up momentum in the third set, where they fell 25-27, it was too late. The team showed sparks of excellence and the team looked to get into the win column when they played Fillmore Central at Geneva, Tuesday. Match results were unavailab...
