The weather failed to cooperate Thursday as heavy rains and an uncertain forecast led to the cancellation of the Superior Invitational, the Superior High School season opening cross country meet.The meet was to be run over the Superior Country club course.
Heavy rains and the possibility of lightning led to the event being cancelled.
The Wildcat runners travel to Fairbury today (Thursday) for the Fairbury Invitational. The meet takes place at the high school.
