SHS cross country competes at Franklin

The Superior High School girls and boys cross country teams competed at the Franklin Invitational, at Franklin, last Tuesday.

The boys varsity team finished in eighth place in the 15 team field over the 5K course.

Hunter Mazzulla led the Wildcat harriers with a 17th place finish with his time of 20:27.27. Brett Miller came in 20th with his time of 20:45.14. Gavin Ekstein took 34th place with his time of 22:10.58. Luka Benjamin finished in 67th place with the time of 27:08.49. There were 72 runners in the field.

Brayton Meyer finished in 17th place in the 2K middle school run with his time of 13:27.62. There were more than 45 runners in the field.

Laci Kirchhoff took home ninth place in the girls varsity 5K run. Her time was 24:31.92. Brianna Stricklin took 31st place with her time of 27:43.46. There were 55 runners in the field.

The team competes at the Beloit Invitational, at Beloit today (Thursday).
