Laurence Ulmer dies

The father of Lawrence area resident, Michelle (Mrs. Paul) Kohmetscher died Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton.

A memorial service was held Sept. 30, at the Federated Church in Sutton.

Mr. Ulmer was born Dec. 19, 1936, to Edmund and Christine Ackerman Ulmer on their Fillmore County farm. He attended Country School and then Sutton High School. He farmed and served in the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserves from 1958 to 1964.

He married Phyllis Houts in 1959.
