SHS cross country

The Superior High School cross country team members competed at the Beloit Invitational Thursday. Brayton Meyer placed 19th in the Middle School two mile run with his time of 13:11. There were 53 seventh and eighth graders entered in the event. Meyer is a seventh grader.

Laci Kirchhoff finished in 18th place in the varsity girls 5K run with her timer of 22:12.3. Brianna Stricklin was in 49th place with her time of 26:08.7. There were 63 runners in the field.

Hunter Mazzulla took 17th place in the varsity boys 5K run with the time of 18:20.2. Brett Miller was in 39th place with the time of 19:29. Gavin Ekstein held down 56th place with his time of 20:39.

There were no team scores as Superior did not field at least four runners in an event.

The teams travel to Hebron today (Thursday) for the Southern Nebraska Conference meet sponsored by Thayer Central High School.
