Red Raiders earn two medals at SNC Conference Meet

It may seem somewhat odd that the L-N – Sandy Creek Red Raiders competed in “another” conference meet last week. It works out that way because Sandy Creek is in the Southern Nebraska Conference and L-N is in the Twin Valley Conference and each conference has its own meet.
Rowan Jarosik and Logan Menke continued to earn medals for the year as Rowan came in fifth in this Meet with a time of 17:40 while Logan came in 12th with a time of 18:48. (Rowan’s fifth for the year and Logan’s fourth for the year.)
This conference is somewhat larger with larger schools in it than the TVC.
Other team members included: Sean Heaton, 27th, 19:50; Jacob Hagemeier, 29th, 20:01; Theo Kathman, 44th, 22:55; Itzamna Diaz, 47th, 24:56.
The girls did not run in this event.
The Red Raiders are hoping for a repeat of the gorgeous Nebraska autumn weather they had last week as they look ahead to Thursday when they compete in the District competition to be held at the Streeter Park in Aurora. Girls start at 4:15 and boys start at 5. The top 15 finishers qualify for the state meet. Logan is looking to repeat his 2020 qualification and Rowan would like to be a first time participant.
