Nelson American Legion Post 187 met on Oct. 14. in the post clubroom. Primary business was the preliminary planning for Veteran’s Day activities. Members plan to attend and participate in the program presented by students at the Lawrence-Nelson High School. A flag disposal ceremony will follow in the school’s shop area.

After a hiatus because of the pandemic, the post will again host the traditional Veteran’s Day dinner for veterans, their families and friends. Will Daugherty’s Memorial Tribute will be on display at the event.
