The two runners who qualified for the state cross country meet from the Superior High School boys and girls cross country teams, Laci Kirchhoff and Hunter Mazzulla, competed in the 5K race over the Kearney Country Club course at Kearney Saturday.

Mazzulla, a freshman, finished in 81st place in the 133 runner field with his time of 19:33.8.

Kirchhoff, a junior, took 72nd place in the 125 runner field with her time of 23:40. It was her first season competing in cross country.
