Daylight savings time ends Saturday

Little tykes do not fear falling. As they are learning to walk and run, tumbles are common place. Occasionally they shed a few tears but generally they are quick to bounce back up and continue running on. But as we get older, falling is something we become increasing afraid up.

Some people may fall because they are afraid of falling and exercise so much caution that they lose their balance from lack of practice.

But whether we are young or old, this weekend all residents of Nebraska and Kansas will be required to take a fall as the nation moves from central daylight to central standard time,

The suggested method for moving from daylight to standard time is to set our clocks back one hour before retiring Saturday night. That way when we awake on Sunday morning our clocks will be set right and we will have had an opportunity to have gained an extra hour of sleep.

The ritual is to spring forward an hour in the spring and fall backward an hour in the fall.
