Pete Keifer, a life-long Bostwick resident and the District 1 Nuckolls County Commissioner, died Thursday, creating a vacancy on the board.

Keifer was elected in the November, 2018 general election. He was a Republican.

A committee, composed of John Hodge, county attorney, Carrie Miller, county clerk and Vicki Ensign , county treasurer, has been formed. The committee has 45 days to select a replacement for Keifer.
