The Jewell County Cinema, Inc. (JCCI) Board met on Monday, Oct. 25. The meeting was held by ZOOM and in person. Those present for the meeting were, Thadd Hinkle, Lisa Goodheart (ZOOM), Kristin Underwood (ZOOM), Sarah Ortman (ZOOM), Phyllis Christie, Janis McDill, Chris Klos and Virgil Jones.

Lisa Goodheart read the minutes of the September meeting and the minutes were accepted by consensus as corrected. Janis McDill presented the treasurer’s report. The current balance is $26,754.19.

In old business, discussion was held on the bill for the computer processor. There are two bills. The smaller bill in the amount of $645.61 will be paid. An e-mail will be sent to Sonic asking someone to call Thadd Hinkle about the larger bill, as the current invoice does not reflect a prior discussed discount.

Discussion was held on showing “Rocky Horror Picture Show” on Oct. 30. Disney now owns that distribution company so a license in not available. It was decided admission would be by donation.

In new business, the board members gave movie suggestions. Members were told Cashway offers an automatic checking account withdrawl option for the popcorn order. The board will discuss this at a future meeting. Good comments have been heard about the Sunday afternoon movie time. It was decided to keep the current schedule at least through December. No one has claimed any of the vouchers for taking the health needs survey.

The meeting was adjourned and the next meeting will be Nov. 29.
