Adelia Hedden

Adelia Ann Hedden, 71, was born on Jan. 25th, 1950, to Glenn and Ina (Love) Rightmeier in Mankato. She died Oct. 31, 2021.

She married William (Bill) Hedden Sept. 27, 1969, in Udall, Kan., where they lived until 1975, when they moved to Winfield. Adelia liked taking pictures and she enrolled in the Canon Photography Masters classes where she received the 4-star Masters Photography award.

In 2004, she was awarded outstanding achievement in amature photography by the International Society of Photographers. She also enjoyed babysitting for many years and sitting at Island Park just watching the wildlife.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 52 years; her sister, Debra Mahaffy of Derby; brother, Richard Rightmeier of Mankato; sisters-in-law,

Pam (Duane) Shockey of Haysville, Annette (Brad) Enegren of Wellsville,

and Bonita (Darren) Nichols of Floral City, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ina Rightmeier; mother and father in-law, Bonnie and John Hedden, brothers in-law, Butch Mahaffy and Clyde Hedden; and nephew, Richard Shockey.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, at Melby Mortuary, with family receiving friends during this time.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Melby Mortuary Mankato.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato.
