Superior Elementary students are being asked to wear red, white and blue today, Thursday. They will gather for an assembly at 8:30 a.m. which staff members hope to stream live over Striv Television.

Jodi Fierstein, elementary principal, said, “The students want to sing the patriotic songs they have been learning, so we decided they could perform for one another in an assembly.”

Instead of the annual school Veterans Day breakfast and program, Superior middle school and senior high students have been recording their presentations. These will be broadcast on the school website and perhaps on KRFS radio.

Members of the Student Council and the National Honor Society recorded patriotic poems and readings to honor veterans on Veterans Day. In addition, the Superior High School choir has recorded music.

The drill team has been taped doing their annual “God Bless the U.S.A.”

“There is still enough COVID-19 in our community we are still concerned about protecting each other,” Bob Cook, secondary principal said.

The Striv Television can be found on the school website at http://www.superiorwildcats.org//
