Nelson Blood Drive collects 54 units

The Red Cross Blood Mobile arrived in Nelson Friday morning with a full staff. The donors were pleased with the efficiency of the staff.
The collection was a few units short of the goal, but 54 units were collected for patients in need.
First Timers were Jamie McClure, Tim Crowl and Teresa Schultz.
Milestone donors were Ken Himmelberg, 12 gal.; Craig Cox, 10 gal .; Lisa Butler, 5 gal.; James Bailey, 4 gal .; Ken Ostdiek, 3 gal .; and Samantha Haba, 2 gal.
Other donors were: Jean Stichka, Donna Jensen, Dale Endorf, Kasey Vaughn, Ramon Otero, Jeff Hutchinson, Chris Hansen, Carol Buschkoetter, Ashley Wit, Marlin Meyer, Bruce Christensen, Ivalee Jacobitz, Terri Oltmans, Joe and Gwynne Mazour, Peggy Meyer, Teresa Walton, Diane Gebers, Cindy Hewitt, Ron Fryda, Kelly Schiermeyer, Haley Williams, Allie Jeffs, Gaylen Cox, John Schutte, Marcia Schultz, Wayne Petersen, Sally Uhrmacher, Sandra Schendt, Mike Buresh, Jerry Bargen, Judy Corman, Peggy Aldrup, Royce, Gonzales, Brenda Schott, Dale Kovanda, Dee Kohmetscher, Will Dougherty, Brent Menke, Chelsey Seamann, Jenell Wood, Tammy Frahm, Jaclyn Siebecker and Kylie Beard.
The Nelson American Legion Auxiliary furnished lunch to the donors, under the supervision of DeAnna Tuttle. The city allowed the use of the auditorium.
