Nora Ruth Disney died Nov. 23, 2021, at her home in Superior, Neb. Born Oct. 29, 1936, on a farm near Alexandria Neb., she was the eighth of 10 children born to William H. Cortney and Sabina C. (Costelloe) Cortney. She attended Alexandria Public Schools and graduated in 1954. On Dec. 7, 1957, she married Norman Glen Disney and moved to Superior where together they raised five children.

Ruth was a 64-year member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Superior Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed volunteering with her childre...
