Arlen Lunzmann

Arlen L. Lunzmann, son of John Lunzmann and Edna (Peters) Lunzmann was born Nov. 16, 1933, at Byron, Neb. He died Jan. 3, at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, at the age of 88.

Arlen grew up in rural Byron, and attended school in the Byron school district. He was confirmed on June 20, 1948, by Pastor Krause. He was a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, rural Byron. He assisted his parents in the farm operation in his early years. Later he farmed the family farm and was a lifetime farmer and stockman in the Byron community.

His memory verse was Psalm 26-8, Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Arlen was united in marriage to Ines Duensing on June 18, 1972, at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Neb. The couple enjoyed playing cards and going on trips.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Lunzmann; two brothers, Raymond Lunzmann and Norman Lunzmann; and one sister-in-law, Rosella Lunzmann.

He is survived by his wife, Ines Lunzmann, of Byron; cousins, other relatives and many friends.

His funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 10, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Rural Byron, conducted by Irvin Schleufer PMA.

Interment was in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, rural Byron.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Byron.
