The Superior Family Medical Center is currently administering Pfizer Pediatric COVID vaccines for ages 5 to 11, Pfizer COVID vaccines and boosters for ages 12 and up, and Moderna COVID vaccines and boosters for ages 18 and up at scheduled times throughout the week. With the recent surge of positive COVID cases in our communities, Brodstone Memorial Hospital is working to conserve testing supplies. What does this mean for the hospital’s patients? This means the providers will choose the appropriate COVID testing method based on the length and severity of symptoms and comorbidities-meaning some results may take up to 48 hours to obtain.

“This is a serious situation that is affecting all of the communities that we serve. The number of COVID cases is increasing drastically in our area causing a strain on our resources and staff. We continue to recommend getting your vaccination and booster, masking, proper hand hygiene and social distancing to reduce exposure risk,” said Treg Vyzourek, the hospital’s chief executive officer.
