Love my crazy life

February 3, 2022

There is nothing new to report this week. Everyone is healthy, the house is messy, we haven’t won the lottery, so same story, different week. I turned 44, so I guess that’s new. I had a good birthday, didn’t do anything special. It was a cold day for deliveries and grocery-getting, but I had coffee from two of my favorite places to keep me warm. Everywhere I went, folks wished me a happy birthday. I suppose social media is to blame for that; it made my day, though.

This weekend, I realized we are just four short months away from graduation, and I have no plan. That is so typical for me! I have the best intentions of planning a big celebration for things like the kid’s birthdays, but I always do things last minute. Either that or I go completely overboard. So I used the weekend going down memory lane, finding pictures and artwork from days gone by.

We haven’t gotten much accomplished on the Money Pit this past week because of cleaning and making the old house livable for a friend who is going to be staying there with her children while her husband travels for work. They didn’t want to move the children mid-school year, and we didn’t want it sitting empty, so win-win. The only drawback is my house is now full of stuff I have no place to put. Let’s hope that motivates me to get things accomplished in a timely fashion.

This time of year is tough on me. This year with the warmer weather, having the house to move out of and the house to work on has kept the cabin fever to a minimum, but I can feel it sneaking in. I hope that silly groundhog predicts an early spring and isn’t wrong. If only I could remember where I put my Farmers Almanac. I’d have a better idea of what is to come. I suppose I will purchase a new one. If I do, I will find the old one!

Here’s to a happy, healthy and productive week, X’s & O’s!
