The Superior High School boys basketball team picked up their second win of the season when they cruised past the Deshler Dragons, 42-20, at Superior last Tuesday. The Auburn Bulldogs handed the Wildcats a 66-19 loss at Auburn Friday. Superior lost their opening round game of the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament game 56-42 to Fillmore Central at Geneva.

Ashton Grassman was good for 17 points to lead the Wildcat offense against Deshler. Dane Miller dropped through six points. Roscoe Baumbach tallied five points for Superior. Jacob Meyer, Seth Schnakenberg and Tanner Theis scored four points apiece. Theo Mathis posted two points for the game. Grassman landed nine rebounds. Theis nabbed seven rebounds. Miller and Schnakenberg produced four rebounds each. Luke Jameson and Tate Streit accounted for one rebound each.

Meyer was the lead scorer against Auburn with eight. Miller added six points. Thies accounted for four points. Schnakenberg sank a free throw for one point. Miller hammered the boards for 10 rebounds. Schnakenberg and Theis contributed three rebounds apiece. Hunter Mazzulla, Meyer and Taygun Rothchild posted two rebounds apiece. Grassman had one rebound

Statistics were unavailable at press time for the Fillmore Central game.

Superior hosts Smith Center Monday. It is Senior Night for the Wildcats.
