SHS wrestling at Adams Central Invite

The Superior High School varsity and junior varsity wrestling teams competed at the Adams Central Invitational held at Adams Central High School, Hastings, Friday.

The varsity team rook fourth place, with 101.5 points, in the 10 team field of Aurora, Lexington, Northwest, Centennial, Fremont, Lincoln North Star, Adams Central; Holdrege and Waverly.

Holden MacDonald earned 24 team points for his first place finish in the 106 pound weight bracket. He finishes the regular season with a 29-12 record.

Cole Rughe competed at 106 pounds. He compiles a 4-28 regular season record.

Jordan Brown controls his opponent during a match at the Adams Central Invite Friday at Hastings. He finished third for Superior in the 170 pound weight bracket.

Brett Miller earned 10 team points for Superior with his third place finish in the 113 pound weight class. He had a 23-19 regular season record.

Hayden Neeman held down first place in the 126 pound weight bracket where he earned 23.5 team points. He finished the regular season with a 30-5 record.

Tyler Everhart took first place and 22 team points at the 152 pound weight bracket. He put up a 20-6 season record.

Jordan Brown was awarded 12 team points for his third place finish in the 170 pound weight bracket. He had a 26-8 regular season record.

Ty Woerner competed at 195 pounds. He had a 19-12 season record.

Payton Christiancy earned 10 team points for his third place finish in the 285 pound weight bracket.

The Wildcats travel to Madison for the C-1 District match being held at Madison Middle and High School. Friday and Saturday. Superior wrestlers will be competing for a coveted spot in the state tournament.
