Final filing deadline passes

The final deadline for the Nuckolls County primary election will have passed by the time this nespaper is distributed. Non-incumbents had until 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, to file for any office. County offices are partisan and the nominee is decided in the primary election. The deadline for incumbents to file has already passed.

The following offices have candidates who have filed for reelection. Incumbents are denoted by (•).

Nuckolls County Commissioner-District 1-Kenneth Rempe• and Jerry Grove, District 3-Timothy Zikmund •. County assessor-Susan Rogers•. County clerk-register of deeds-election commissioner-Carrie Miller•. Treasurer-Laura Elledge, Tami Sharp and Carrie Jeffery. Clerk of the District Court-Royce Gonzales•. County attorney-John Hodge•. County sheriff-Bradley Baker•.

City of Superior-Mayor-Chris Peterson•. Council positions: Beaver 1-Carrie Lemke•, Beaver 2-Levi Gunn, Beaver 3- Rick Disney•.

Superior Airport Authority- two seats- Carrie Jeffery• and Lance Teachworth •.

City of Nelson-Mayor-Arlan Drudik•, Teraesa Bruce. At Large- Doug Porter• and Curtis Jordan•.

Hardy-two seats-Margorie Renz• and Shelia Sjoholom•.

Nora-three seats-Amber Epley, Robert Williams and Brad Bargen.

Oak-two seats-no filings Lawrence-Nelson school board-three seats- Colby Fox, Alicia Kucera, David Ochsner, Cole Epley, David Pheer, Ryan Schroer and Taylor Lynch.

Superior School Board-three seats- Matthew Bargen•, Brad Biltoft• and Krista Tatro.

The county treasurer’s race will likely be settled in the primary as all three candidates have filed as Republicans.

School board, city and village positions are non-partisian and will not appear on the primary ballot unless there are more than two candidates filed for each available position.
