Airport projects at Beloit and Smith Center are among 36 projects selected for the Kansas Airport Improvement Program funding. The program receives $5 million annually. There were 145 projects which sought more than $78 million from the fund this year.
Beloit will received $180,000 to replace a 2008 AWOS system. Smith Center will receive $47,500 to design an AWOS system and $306,000 for installation of the system.
