Keith Barry

 

Keith Lyn Barry, the son of Leo and Ruby (Biltoft) Barry, was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Superior, Neb. He died Feb. 21, 2022. at the CHI St. Francis Hospital at Grand Island, Neb., at the age of 65 years, 3 months, 10 days.

Keith attended school at Lovewell until it closed then completed his education at Courtland High School.

He married Jocelyn Mohler on Jan. 28, 1978. To this union two sons were born, Blake and Phil. They later divorced.

He was united in marriage to Robin Sloggett on Dec. 21, 2007, at Burr Oak, Kan.

Throughout his life, Keith lived in the communities of Lovewell, Webber, Superior and Burr Oak. He was a truck driver. He liked his motorcycle and enjoyed riding with friends. He also liked go-kart racing. Keith enjoyed life to its fullest and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ruby, and mother-in-law Bonnie Finnigsmier.

Survivors include his wife, Robin, of Burr Oak; sons, Blake and wife Melissa of Superior and Phillip and wife Sara of Mulvane, Kan., Nathan Hoffmeyer and wife Margo of Kimberly, Idaho; and daughter, Erin Hoffmeyer of Lincoln, Neb .; six grandchildren, Cailyn, Cayce, Tarissa, Dean, Adalynn and Shane; siblings, Richard and wife Lindel of Webber, Kan., Wilma Fuller and husband Warren of Hardy, Neb., and Kenneth of Shickley, Neb .; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

His funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Burr Oak Community Center with Jeff Ord officiating.

Recorded music was "The Dance," "Calling All Angels," "The Walk," and "Lead Me Home."

Pallbearers were Sam Becker, Mark Sholtz, Greg Manning, Ryan Biltoft and Jim Bob Deffenbaugh. Honorary pallbearers were Cailyn, Cayce, Dean, Tarissa, Adalynn and Shane.

Private family inurnment was in the Webber Cemetery at Webber, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family that will be designated to local organizations.
