Planning is well underway for the 147th annual Nuckolls County Fair. As usual, the fair will be held on the county fairgrounds located on a hill south of Nelson.

With the number of COVID-19 cases declining, planners expect the fair will be a public event.

Fair related events will be spread over two weeks. The events begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5 with the companion animal and dog show. At 1:30 p.m., it is the clothing construction, style review and performing arts contest. The public show will be directly following.
