County Government Day at courthouse on Friday

County Government Day is Friday

 

March 24, 2022



The Nuckolls County Courthouse will be filled with students this Friday for County Government Day. The program begins at 9 a.m. with a general assembly in the courtroom with Chuck Tuttle. Bob Kotinek will welcome the group and they will say the “Pledge of Allegiance.” Introductions will be made of county officials, veterans and students. Royce Gonazles will give a slide show presentation.

At 10 a.m., Jayden Jorgensen, the County Government Day Speaker, will present “Integrity.”

Tours and workshops will begin at 10:30 a.m. They include County Roads by Cindy Buescher; Drunken Goggles by Trooper Justin Brase; enCourage AC by Jenny Caltagirone; and Extension-4H by Kylie Kinley.

Students from Nuckolls County will participate in a mock trial at 1 p.m.

At 3 p.m., the Lawrence-Nelson students will play “Taps” and the group will be dismissed.

Lunch will be served for all by Sacred Heart Altar Society.
