Mother Nature wreaked havoc on the Superior Invitational golf match scheduled for Thursday at the Superior Country Club. Overnight snow and gusty winds led Kirk Utecht, head coach and country club superintendent, to cancel the event.

The team was able to play a nine-hole quadrangular match with Lawrence-Nelson, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley and Red Cloud last Tuesday when the temperature reached 80 degrees.

Superior finished in fourth place, with 242 strokes, in the four team field.
