SHS track at Thayer Central Invite

 


The Superior High School boys and girls track and filed teams traveled to Hebron Thursday for the Thayer Central Invitational. The girls team took second place, with 78 points, in the 12 team field. Other teams at the meet were Fairbury, Sutton, Lincoln Christian, Thayer Central, Sandy Creek, Johnson County Central, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Deshler, Fillmore Central, Harvard and Southern. The boys team took home fourth place with 56 points.

Ella Gardner crossed the finish line in first place in the 100 meter dash with her time of 13.57 seconds. Sadie Rempel posted a time of 14.57 seconds. Atlee Kobza completed her heat in 15.59 seconds.

E. Gardner added another first place finish in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.66 seconds. Brianna Stricklin finished with the time of 31.37 seconds. Lauren Tietjen listed a time of 35.63 seconds.

Brooklyn Grabast had a time of 1:17.47 for the 400 meter dash. Tietjen finished with a time of 1:22.41.


Hailey Blecha took eighth place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 16:41 .55.

Madison Heusinkvelt put up a time of 19.21 seconds for eighth place in the 100 meter hurdles. Mikynzie Hansen had a time of 22.59 seconds.

Alexa Cox completed the 300 meter hurdles in 1:00.7. Cayce Barry had a time of 1:08.91.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Sadie rempel, Shayla Meyer, Heusinkvelt and E. Gardner recorded a first place finish with their time of 53:39 seconds.

Shayla Meyer was atop the shot put points standings with her first place toss of 36’2.5”. Kobza had a toss of 27’6”.


Meyer held the top spot in the discus with her throw of 133’10”. Kobza registered a throw of 97’4”. Cox took fourth place in the high jump with her jump of 4’8”.

Rempel clinched first place in the pole vault when she cleared 9”. Stricklin cleared 6”6”.

E. Gardner added another first place finish in the long jump at 16’10.25”. to close out her impressive day. Heusinkvelt landed a 12’10.5” leap.

Barry covered 25’6.5”. in the triple jump.

Elijah Heusinkvelt took fifth place in the 100 meter dash with his time of 12.08 seconds. Taran Zoltenko was in eighth place with his time of 12:37 seconds. Clayton Morris finished his heat with a time of 12.55 seconds.

Heusinkvelt landed fourth place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 24.48 seconds. Morris posted a time of 28.55 seconds. Aiden Humphries finished his heat in 27.13 seconds.


Tanner Theis had a time of 1:01.81 seconds for the 400 meter dash.

Aric Leibel held sixth place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:11.77. Gavin Ekstein finished in 5:45.23. Derek Kirchhoff had a time of 6:48.29 for the event.

Liebel nailed down fourth place in the 3200 meter run with his time of 11:15.05.

Dane Miller earned third place points in the 100 meter hurdles with his time of 16.71 seconds. James Love picked up seventh place with the time of 20.21 seconds.

Miller posted a third place finish in the 300 meter hurdles with the time of 43.42 seconds. Love was in eighth place with his time of 50.85 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Zoltenko, Miller, Morris and E. Heusinkvelt were in fourth place with their time of 45.77 seconds.


Kansas Public Notices

Seth Schnakenberg picked up third place in the shot put with his toss of 46’3.75”. Payton Christiancy was seventh place with his toss of 41’7”.

Luke Jameson had a toss of 31’11.5”.

Schnakenberg cemented a third place finish in the discus with a throw of 132’8”. Christiancy was in sixth place with his toss of 115’10”. Jameson had a throw of 93’09”.

Morris was in fifth place in the pole vault as he cleared the bar at 10’6”. Love had a leap of 9’6”.

Theis had a leap of 14’3.5” for the long jump.

E. Heusinkvelt took second place in the triple jump by covering 38’11.75”.

The Wildcats traveled to Sandy Creek Tuesday for the Sandy Creek Invitational. Meet results were unavailable at press time.
