There will be a government commodities distribution for families meeting income guidelines for the Jewell-Randall-Ionia area at 1 p.m., on Thursday, April 21, at the Jewell Apartments Commons Area, 107 S. Lincoln, in Jewell.

The following foods are scheduled to be distributed: Great Northern beans; cream style corn; pink salmon; pistachios; grapefruit juice; catfish filets; chicken leg quarters; oat cereal circles; and diced carrots (frozen).

The maximum monthly income that an individual can now earn and still qualify to receive commodities is $1,396 for a household of one person. Add $492 for each additional family member. Note: There is a limited supply of some of these items and items will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
