Diane Synek – Barb Janda elected to LDCCW slate of officers

The 63rd Biannual Lincoln Diocese Council of Catholic Women (LDCCW) was held last weekend an All Saint's parish in Holdrege, Neb. Board meetings were held on Friday with the full Convention activities on Saturday. The event ended with Mass offered by Bishop James Conley.
The Council of Catholic Women organization enriches the lives of Catholic women by pursuing projects designed to further spiritual and family life in all parishes and communities in southern Nebraska. The LDCCW was organized in 1932 and has undertaken many projects which fulfill the corporal and spiritual works of mercy as outlined by the Catholic Church.
The Lawrence Deanery of the LDCCW is composed of the parishes of: Sacred Heart, Lawrence; St. Stephen, Lawrence; Our Lady of Assumption, Deweese; Sacred Heart, Nelson; St. Joseph, Superior; Holy Trinity, Blue Hill; Sacred Heart , Red Cloud; St. Anne, Campbell; St. Katharine Drexel, Franklin.
Attending the Convention for both days were Barb Janda of Lawrence and Diane Synek of Deweese. Mrs. Janda was elected 1st vice president and Mrs. Synek was elected as treasurer for the Diocesan wide organization.
Attending on Saturday were the officers of the Lawrence Deanery: Susan Janda, Mary Kimminau and Mary (Mrs. Ken) Kathman.
Trudy Burenheid of Falls City, Nebraska is the new state president of the LDCCW.
