Maria Denise Etter-Collins, 66 of Athens, Ala., died Monday, March 28, 2022, at her residence. Denise was born on May 16, 1955, to Don and Dorothy Etter.
Denise was a loving mother, sister, wife and friend to many. She was a hippie at heart and had a great love for her husband, good music and her puppy dogs. Her positive attitude and grace, even in the face of uncertainty will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Etter; and siblings, Jeltery and Don Etter.
Denise is survived by her husband, Charles Collins; children, Travis Cosby, Justin Spence and Jessie Spence; parents, Don and Pauline Etter; siblings Viki Juzwiak and Steve Childress; many step children; and adopted children whom she loved dearly.
Her funeral was April 2 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
