USD 107 Board discuss facility needs

 


On April 20, President Kenny Mizner called the special meeting of the USD 107 Board of Education to order. Those present were Kenny Mizner, Marc Grout, Brandon Hollerich, Wayne Frost, Justin Angleton, Bobi Fogo, Rex Boley, Cassi Bozarth and Sarah Ortman.

Guests were: Zach Snethan of HTK Architects, Brian Fuemmeler and Mike Hattrup of McCown-Gordon Construction, Ashton Cates, Angie Ayers, Mel Brown, Philip Menhusen, Travis Cox, Damon Bohnert, Libby Duffy, Destiny Flavin, Keith Roe, Chris Whelchel, Shannon Meier, Nathan Greene, Luke Simmelink, Bethany Simmelink, Jennifer Simmelink, Trevor Elkins, Hannah Simmelink, Brett Walker, Kevin Peroutek, Jana Coil, Cathy Dauner, Billie Cox and Darrell Miller.

Sarah Ortman was appointed acting clerk for the duration of the special meeting.

A presentation was made by Zac Sneathan, Brian Fuemmeler and Mike Hattrup. A lengthy discussion was held on current facility needs. Options were discussed and questions were addressed during the presentation.

The board went into executive session at with Mr. Boley and Mr. Miller present to discuss the acquisition of real property pursuant to the preliminary discussion of the acquisition of real property exception under KOMA.

When the open meeting resumed, the meeting was adjourned.

The next special meeting of the USD No. 107 Board of Education was scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, in the Rock Hills Jr.-Sr. High Library.

The next regular meeting of the USD No. 107 Board of Education will be Monday, May 9, at 1 p.m. in the board room of the district office.
