SHS boys golf

 


The Superior High School boys golf team competed at the Southern Nebraska Conference match in Geneva Friday. The event was hosted by Fillmore Central High School and played over the Hidden Hills Golf Course.

The match was originally scheduled for Thursday. Inclement weather conditions led to rescheduling the event to Friday,

The Wildcats competed at the Thayer Central invitational Wednesday. The match was played over the Fairbury Country Club course.

Superior finished in 10th place, with a team score of 445, in the 10 team field of Milford, Heartland, Sandy Creek, Thayer Central, Fillmore Central, Centennial, Fairbury, Sutton and David City.

Carsyn Koening was the low Wildcat scorer with his 18-hole round of 103. Ashton Grassman finished his round at 110. Aaron Allgood carded a round of 115. Tate Streit listed a round of 117. Taygun Rothchild had a round of 120 for the match. The four lowest scores are used to tabulate the team score.

Superior golfers will be looking to qualify for berth at the state championship match at the District C-4 match Tuesday.. The Wildcats will compete against golfers from CCO, Central City, Centura, Doniphan-Trumbull, Gibbon, Grand Island Central Catholic, Hastings St. Cecilia, Heartland, Ord, Ravenna, Sandy Creek, St. Paul, Sutton and Wood River. The match will be contested over the Indianhead Golf course, Grand Island. Doniphan-Trumbull is the host school.
