The game of Keno has been a feature in Dick’s Place in Lawrence for a number of years now. A number of people have won substantial amount of money, but nothing like what happened just recently in the establishment.

Katie Davison of Hastings was playing the game and ended up winning a total of $13,500. It took a day or so to make the payment, but the woman was paid and hopefully will make good use of her winnings.

The game is controlled by the State Gaming Commission. A percentage of the money spent on the game is earned by Dick’s Place for doing the work of operating the game. The Village of Lawrence also gets a percentage of the money spent on the game as well and has done well over the few years the game has been operating.
