District Track fans scurry for cover as storm approaches


Superior Public Schools hosted the district track meet, Thursday. The weather forecast indicated strong thunderstorms might move through the area late in the afternoon, so officials started the District C-7 track meet an hour early. Around five p.m. storm sirens sounded in Hastings, High winds damaged grain handling facilities in Clay Center and fierce looking storm clouds rolled into Superior.
