Collaborative community service was at work for a big spring cleanup of the recreational walking trail for long term care residents of Jewell County Hospital. Jewell County 4-H and the Mankato Garden Club teamed up with Cassie Homan, horticulture agent, and Tonia Underwood, 4-H program coordinator, to help weed, prune and spread mulch. Club members of all ages from Mankato Eager Beavers, Prairie Shooters and Webber Wide Awake worked together to help maintain a sanctuary for long term care residents.
