SHS boys golf ends season at district

 


The Superior High School boys golf team ended their 2022 season with a 14th place finish, with 465 strokes, in the 15 team District C-4 state qualifying match played over the Indianhead Golf Course, Grand Island, last Tuesday. The top 10 individual golfers qualify should their team not make it to state. If they are in the top 10 then they qualify. No individual golfers qualified from Superior.

The 18-hole match saw teams from Doniphan-Trumbull, Grand Island Central Catholic, Heartland, Gibbon, Ord, Wood River, Sutton, Centura, Hastings St. Cecilia, Central City, St. Paul, Sandy Creek, Cross County-Osceola and Ravenna.

Aaron Allgood posted a round of 107. Carsyn Koenig was in with a round of 112. Ashton Grassman carded a round of 121, Taygun Rothchild listed a round of 125. Tate Streit recorded a round of 127. The four lowest scores comprise the team total.

Taygun Rothchild played his final round of golf for Superior as a member of the senior class.
