Love my crazy life

The sun is shining, the pool is open, and the boy comes home from Dad’s tomorrow. I feel just a little lighter now that the worst of my stress has come and gone with no major drama. Jacob is driving himself home from Dad’s in his new, gently-used pick-up. I am happy for him that he finally has his own wheels and happy for me now that he will be paying his own insurance. I am nervous about him driving all that way on his own and a little sad that he is grown-up enough to have his own vehicle—just another one of those catch 22 cosmic jokes.

We blew the cobwebs out of the pick-up this weekend and drove to Oak. It was a nice little drive, windows down, just looking over the countryside, enjoying all the green. It’s amazing how it seems just to green up overnight. It’s sad we won’t be able to do much of that this summer with gas prices being what they are.

I can’t wait to get my scooter licensed. I thought I could license it Monday. I always forget about the holidays. I may look silly driving it around, but at least I’m saving money and miles on my car. It’s fun to ride, but the front rotor is a little rusty, so it squeaks! George has promised to have another look at it, but other than the squeaking, she is running like a champ. If you hear me squeaking down the road, you might want to clear a path. I’m still getting used to the silly thing, and I wouldn’t want to run anyone over. LOL, X’s & O’s.
