A Jewell County teenager was injured just before 12:30 p.m. Thurday when his 2000 Nissan Frontier left Highway 14 and rolled over.

Kyler J. Burks, 16, of Jewell was northbound on Highway 14 about 4 miles south of Jewell when the accident happened.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the pickup drifted into the west ditch. It appears the driver tried to return the truck to the highway, overcorrected and the vehicle rolled over and unknown number of times. Burks apparently was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected
