Ladies' Cow Chip Open hosts 27 golfers

The Lawrence Country Club was the gathering place for 27 golfers wanting to try their luck at winning the Annual Ladies' Cow Chip Open on Sunday, June 5. A beautiful day greeted the women, with the exception of one short passing shower in the afternoon. Winning the coveted trophy was Peg Kohmetscher with her two- round total of 71.
Joining Peg in the championship flight was second place Tami Kohmetscher (76), third place Beth Himmelberg (79), fourth place Laura Herz (81), and fifth place Makenzie Kohmetscher.
First flight winners were first place Lenae Meyer (80), second place Sam Nejezchleb (85), third place Carla Kohmetscher (85), fourth place Linda Kohmetscher (86), and fifth place Sue Stromer (88).
Second flight winners included first place Brianne Bachman (89), second place Carli Cloet (93), third place Lacie Schroer (95), fourth place Tana Hofstetter (97), and fifth place Chelle Pawloski (101).
Flag prizes were won by Carolyn Kohmetscher-long putt on No. 1, Angie Kathman-closest to pin on tee No. 2, Dee Kohmetscher-closest to pin on 2nd shot No. 3, Mary Kathman-closest to pin wheel No. 4, Carli Cloet-longest drive No. 5, Peg Kohmetscher-closest to pin on tee No. 6, Makenzie Kohmetscher-closest to pin on 2nd shot No. 7, Tami Kohmetscher-longest putt No. 8, and Linda Kohmetscher-closest to pin on 3rd shot No. 9. Door prizes were won by Amber Epley and Blair Miller.
