Katie Lyn Krupicka (Elting), 55, of Carleton, the daughter of Orval and Esther (Krueger) Elting was born April 13, 1967, in Omaha. She died June 4, at her residence in Carleton.

Katie grew up on a farm near Davenport, where her love for animals grew.

She attended St. Peter Lutheran School in Davenport, and graduated from Davenport High School with the Class of 1985.
